Mr. Shupe graduated from Belmont University with a BM in church music and a minor in religion. Following Graduation, he served as Minister of Music for forty-eight years. He is a past moderator of Nashville Presbytery of the Cumberland Presbyterian Denomination and has led a Truth Seekers Bible discussion group for several decades. Other projects included Music Missionary trips to Colombia, South America and serving on a Sudanese Council developing churches and church leaders for American Sundanese refugees. Mr. Shupe has written four other books, one of which addressed the universal decline in denominational churches throughout the US. The other three books cover subjects within his vocation of Municipal Insurance consulting. He and his wife-business partner, Valerie, have been married for fifty-five years.
